How was our clan formed?
The first SoF blog post went live on July 25th, 2008. The founders were trying to think of a good name for their new Halo clan, and had considered a few names, one of which being the Pillars of Autumn (lololol), but decided to go with "Spirits of Fire", after the warship "Spirit of Fire" from Halo Wars.

What's our website?
Our blog can be found here, but our forums can be found here within the Hawty McBloggy forums. bs angel was nice enough to merge our forums with hers, making the Hawty McBloggy community our main stomping grounds and recruiting pool. There's not much goin on in the blog, but you can find some cool videos and basic info in there.

How many members do we have?
Currently there are 18 Spirits, but we are about to induct a few more. After the next round of recruits is voted on, our recruitment office will be closed indefinitely.

What's our status?
We are a Halo-centric clan, but the majority of our members have also been playing Modern Warfare 2 and other recent titles. As stated above, we are no longer actively recruiting, but any new members would come from the HMB community. We require members to be an active member within the forums to be considered for SoF membership.

We have done challenges before, but we much prefer doing social mixers. We are a non-competitive clan with a variety of skill levels. We play to have fun and enjoy good company.

What are our ideals?

* Be nice, be mature, and be respectful.

* Absolutely NO sexual, racial, or religious slurs or comments. We have zero tolerance for that.

* You are NOT your rank in Halo. If you want to showboat, take it somewhere else.

* We don't "call" weapons, we ASK for them. If no one asks for a weapon, then first come first serve is the rule.

* Play fair, spawn killing, camping, team killing (other than bs angel), and kissing isn't allowed here.

* We ask that you use your headphones and mic. Give your team Sit Reps, enjoy the chatter.

* EVERY game should end with a "Good Game".


There has been a changing of the guard recently. Our founders have stepped down from overall leadership to tend to their personal lives and have taken an advisory position in the clan. Myself along with my buddy rowboat have been granted leadership/overlord/Chief of Twinkies status. Before the change in leadership, I was acting ambassador for the clan. I would love to get some games in with some Wheelmen sometime, feel free to send me a FR (GT= Apollo Running). Good game!
