Valhalla is one of the hardest maps to drive on. Valhalla is a Coagulation inspired remake, however it features more hills and sweet jumps to play around on. It also offers the enemy team cover in and around their base. This can cause problems for warthog teams because it makes going behind their base to spawn kill or near their base to pick up objective runners that more complicated. The best strategy on this map is mostly to camp the enemies man cannon landing area. Free kills on landing enemies and easy pick up of your flag carrier.

Your team should always be concerned with the main Hill. This is the high ground, and allows you to look down onto the enemies and where they’re coming from. It’s also where the laser spawns. Warthog teams should be ready to give any support to the Hill that they can.

There are plenty of routes to take around the map. Avoid going behind the base if the team knows how to take down warthogs. The best options are to camp the man cannon landing and catch enemies coming out of the Shotgun caves or watercave.

This list will be in order of most dangerous to least dangerous:

Laser spawns on the Hill. There will always be an initial push by teams to get it. A Warthog team can help by coming up behind the hill and laying down cover fire to help procure the hill. After this is secured you should have free range of the map.

There are two missile pods that spawn on each base. If you get locked on by one you should find some cover, there are plenty of hills and rocks to duck behind.

You mostly have to worry about grenades behind and near enemy bases. Stickies spawn on the side and inside of each base. Be careful about driving in narrow areas to avoid being stuck.

Both of these spawn in/on the Enemy base. Avoid going behind the base and be careful on the sides of the base. Enemies can throw them out behind cover and stop you. Also enemies that see a warthog camping the lift will bring one out to kill a warthog. Try switching sides periodically to confused the enemy about which side to throw the energy drain.

Enemy Banshees can cause issues if they get a Banshee bomb out while coming out behind cover. If you’re engaged with an enemy banshee move to your side of the map so team mates can help AR/BR it down. Else wise, your gunner should be able to take it out easily, just avoid bouncing his reticule on hills and jumps. The Enemy warthog should be lasered, but if you do engage it, try and give your gunner a clear shot at their gunner.

There is a Bruteshot on the map by Turret. It shouldn’t cause any problems.

If you get boarded on this map, it’s your fault. Avoid narrow corridors and trying to drive for splatters.
